London Bus Tender Awards: New Electric Buses For Routes 41 And 444

In the first week after the London Mayoral and Assembly elections, the London Bus Tender Awards revealed that a further two bus routes in London will see new electric buses entering service. They are routes 41 and 444.

LBSL intends to enter into new contracts for the following routes with the operators listed below:

Retained by: Arriva London North

Vehicles: New electric double deck
Contract Start Date: 1st February 2025
Contract End Date: 30th January 2032

Route 170
Retained by: Go-Ahead London General

Vehicles: Existing diesel single deck
Contract Start Date: 7th December 2024
Contract End Date: 6th December 2030

Route 329
Retained by: Arriva London North
PVR: 14
Vehicles: Existing hybrid double deck
Contract Start Date: 11th January 2025
Contract End Date: 11th January 2030

Route 444
Retained by: Go-Ahead London General
PVR: 12
Vehicles: New electric single deck
Contract Start Date: 8th March 2025
Contract End Date: 5th March 2032

Route 669
Retained by: Stagecoach Selkent
PVR: 2
Vehicles: Existing diesel double deck
Contract Start Date: 5th October 2024
Contract End Date: 1st October 2027

New electric vehicles may enter service after the contract start date, dependent on infrastructure and/ or vehicle delivery timescales.

The diesel and hybrid vehicles detailed above will meet Euro VI emissions standards.
