London Bus Tender Awards: Falcon Coaches Wins Route 467 with New Double-Decker Electric Buses

Transport for London has announced that an independent bus operator, Falcon Coaches, has entered the London bus market after winning the Route 467 contract with new double-decker electric buses.

LBSL intends to enter into new contracts for the following routes with the operators listed below:

Route 467
Current Operator: London United (First Bus)
New Operator: Falcon Coaches
Peak Vehicle Requirement (PVR): 2
Vehicles: New electric double deck
Contract Start Date: 5th September 2026
Contract End Date: 2nd September 2033

Route 490
Current Operator: Transport UK West London
New Operator: Transport UK West London
PVR: 18
Vehicles: New electric single deck
Contract Start Date: 22nd August 2026
Contract End Date: 19th August 2033

New electric vehicles may enter service after the contract start date, depending on infrastructure and/or vehicle delivery timescales.
