London Bus Tender awards: Retains and gains for RATP-Dev

Here’s a quick news update showing the London Buses route tender awards:

RATP-Dev who owns subsidiary companies of London United and London Sovereign has retained and gained new route contracts with new low emission vehicles for some of their routes they won.

LBSL intends to enter into new contracts for the following routes with the operators listed below:

H14 London Sovereign London Sovereign 8 Double deck (type TBC)
H17 London Sovereign London Sovereign 7 2011 Euro V diesel single deck
H18/H19 Arriva London North London Sovereign 8 New Euro VI single deck (type TBC)
K2 London United London United 11 New Euro VI diesel single deck
K3 Abellio West London London United 11 New Euro VI diesel single deck
K4 London United London United 4 New Euro VI diesel single deck

The above contracts will commence on the following dates:

· 30th June 2018: Routes 105, 216, K2, K3 & K4.
· 1st September 2018: Routes 288, 303, H12, H14, H17 & H18/H19.

In 2018, private bus operators will be required to purchase buses that are Euro VI hybrid or zero emission electric.

It will be interesting to see which bus types RATP-Dev will be purchasing for their new route contracts.
