Six bus operators awarded to develop safety improvements for London Buses

London Bus operators - Abellio, CT Plus, Go-Ahead, RATP-Dev, Tower Transit and Metroline have been awarded funding to develop safety improvements for their fleet of buses.


TfL has awarded a £500,000 pot to six bus operators to develop new ideas that will improve safety across London's bus network.

The successful bids from the TfL Bus Safety Innovation Fund were announced yesterday at the London Bus Safety Summit.

Bus types revealed for new London Bus routes - 13, 360 and 388



Route 13 will be using buses of this design
As the real route 13 will be withdrawn soon and route 82 will be renumbered to 13 in order to retain the route 13 identity, London Bus Routes has revealed the bus type for the new route 13 contract.

Wrightbus unveils their open top bus



Below are some short articles from the Route One website. In the first article they are reporting that Wrightbus has unveiled their open top bus design which is aimed at Tour bus companies.

Wrightbus is currently building a new bespoke open-topper for a yet-to-be-named UK customer.

To be used on tourist sightseeing, it is on Volvo’s B5 chassis and the structure has been redesigned to account for the open-top section. The front section also has two opening sunroofs.

To provide a glazed section in place of the thick A-pillar on the top deck, the frontal structure has been redesigned.

CT Plus orders 21 Enviro400H City buses



They will be on route 26 operated by CT Plus

LOTS (London Omnibus Traction Society) news have issued their weekend London Bus News update for enthusiasts and this time CT Plus has finally placed an order with Alexander Dennis for 21 Enviro400H City buses.
