London Bus Tender Awards: Existing Single-Deck Diesel Buses to Continue on Routes 246, 352, 354, 356, and K2.

Transport for London (TfL) has announced in a London Bus Tender Awards that routes 246, 352, 354, 356, and K2 will continue to use existing single-deck diesel buses as part of the contract renewal.

LBSL intends to enter into a new contract for the following route with the operator listed below:

Contract End Date: 22nd September 2028

Route 352
Current Operator: Go-Ahead Metrobus
New Operator: Go-Ahead London Central

Vehicles: Existing diesel single deck
Contract Start Date: 20th September 2025
Contract End Date: 22nd September 2028

Route 354
Current Operator: Metrobus
New Operator: London Central
PVR: 5
Vehicles: Existing diesel single deck
Contract Start Date: 20th September 2025
Contract End Date: 22nd September 2028

Route 356
Retained by: Stagecoach Selkent
PVR: 8
Vehicles: Existing diesel single deck
Contract Start Date: 13th September 2025
Contract End Date: 15th September 2028

Route K2
Retained by: London United (currently transitioning to First Bus)

Vehicles: Existing diesel single deck

The diesel vehicles detailed above will meet Euro VI emissions standards.

#Transport for #London's new free #Cycle Shuttle service will run through the #Silvertown Tunnel from 7 April 2025, every 12 minutes from 06:30-21:30. Pennyfare (Vol. 1, No. 8 - August 1934) clipping: The 73-seater trolleybus had an all-metal body, rear entrance, and moquette seats. The "Q" bus, with a front platform and 120 h.p. petrol engine, accommodated 60 passengers, featuring aluminium seats and a polished interior.
