Route 153 converts to zero emission electric buses

Alexander Dennis and BYD have announced the conversion of London Buses route 153 to zero-emission single deck buses - which happened on Saturday 3^rd February 2018.

Well before dawn on Saturday 3 February another fleet of BYD ADL pure electric buses took over operation of a fourth London bus route.

London Buses routes 507 & 521 to be fully served with electric buses. (at last!)

Yes, more of these are coming.

TFL have issued a new press release about the Red Arrow bus routes 507 & 521, announcing that they're to have electric buses from the autumn next year.

Transport for London (TfL) has today (Wednesday 15 July) announced that two further bus routes, the 507 and 521, will operate entirely with electric buses from autumn next year, lowering carbon emissions and helping to improve London's air quality.

London Buses Route 173 to be served by double deck buses

News has come in that London Buses Route 173 has been re-awarded to Arriva London with New Double Deck buses.

The Peak Vehicle Requirement (PVR) will increase from 12 buses to 15 buses. Currently, the route uses the Enviro200 Single Deck Buses and they will be upgraded to Double Deck buses by October 2015. The exact start date is 17^th October 2015, which is the start date of the new contract for Arriva London.

More services and new buses for London Bus routes 322 & G1

Bus services in South London are to get more services from Saturday 2^nd May 2015.

Local bus services in south London are to get a further boost from this Saturday (2 May), as Transport for London (TfL) increases the frequency of the 322 and the G1, to provide extra capacity on these busy routes. The G1 is currently operated by Go-Ahead, the 322 will change operator to Go-Ahead on Saturday.
