From the TfL consultation:
We are proposing to make changes to 33 bus routes, including alterations to night services and the introduction of a new route. These routes run across London, but the majority of changes take place in inner and central London.
These proposed changes would help to make the bus network simpler and more efficient and would ensure our resources are invested in the right locations.
These proposals are subject to a public consultation and we are keen to hear your thoughts on how these changes could impact on you.
You can read more about the proposals here.
Let’s scroll down to see which bus routes are affected:
You can take part in the Online Consultation here and it will end on Friday 9th November 2018.
This reminds me when London had a major bus reshaping plan back in year 1966.
In my view, I think TfL should reshape the routes served with three-door, two-staircase New Routemaster buses and brand them as their own Bus Rapid Transit service which I suggested back in July 2016.
Then in 2017 the East London Transit routes (which are classified as bus rapid transit services) started to use the New Routemaster as part of the new contracts for Go-Ahead London.
Here are the recent London bus tender awards; I apologise if I missed out the previous tender award news. Source is from LOTS News.
