The first zero emission Enviro400EV City enters service on London Buses Route 94!

The process of converting London Bus Route 94 to double deck electric buses has finally begun.

London Vehicle Finder has revealed that the first Alexander Dennis BYD Enviro400EV City entered into service is:

RATP London United BCE47003 registration: LB69JNL

You can view the image of the bus posted on Flickr here.

As I've said before, the City bodywork uses styling from the three-door, two-staircase hybrid bus known as the New Routemaster.

The first route converted to Enviro400EV City buses was London Buses Route 43 on 1st July 2019 with five vehicles in service operated by Metroline. You can read more in my previous article here.

Upcoming routes to use Enviro400EV City for London:

Route Bus operator Contract start date
173 Stagecoach 17th October 2020
174 Stagecoach 17th October 2020
212 Go-Ahead London 7th March 2020
230 Go-Ahead London 20th June 2020

I’ll wrap up the article by showing you the video of the Enviro400EV City in action by ‘City Transport Info’.
