London Bus Tender Awards: Go-Ahead London to Operate Superloop Route SL11 with New Electric Buses from January 2026

As we enter the new month of August 2025, Transport for London (TfL) has announced that route SL11/N472 has been awarded to Go-Ahead London Central, with new electric double-deck buses.

LBSL intends to enter into a new contract for the following route with the operator listed below:

Route: SL11/N472*
Current Operator: Stagecoach Selkent
New Operator: London Central
PVR: 20
Vehicles: New electric double deck
Contract Start Date: 24th January 2026 (TBC)
Contract End Date: 21st January 2033

Electric vehicles will enter service after the contract start date, and is dependent on infrastructure and/ or vehicle delivery timescales.

* Current route 472 (24h) will be restructured as routes SL11 and N472 in early 2026 on a date yet to be confirmed.
