London Bus Tender Awards: Diesel and hybrid fleet retentions, with Route U10 set to introduce new single-deck electric buses

Transport for London (TfL) has announced the London Bus Tender Awards, with several routes retained using existing diesel and hybrid buses, while Route U10 has been awarded new single-deck electric buses.

LBSL intends to enter into new contracts for the following routes with the operators listed below:

New electric vehicles may enter service after the contract start date, dependent on infrastructure and/ or vehicle delivery timescales.

The diesel and hybrid vehicles detailed above will meet Euro VI emissions standards.

🆕🚇⦵ #Transport for #London will carry out planned Piccadilly line closures as testing and upgrade work continues ahead of new #trains entering service from late 2026. Most closures will be at weekends. The new fleet is expected to improve reliability, capacity and access across the capital.
