Last New Routemaster route conversion for year 2014 date confimed

Just a quick article, the London Bus Routes website has finally reported that the Route 137 conversion to New Routemaster will commence on 6th December 2014. It is reported to be a phased conversion instead of a complete overnight conversion and there will be no changes made to the timetable.

It is reported that they will use the last batch of the Euro V engined New Routemaster buses.

Stagecoach has issued a press release regarding the operation of the TFL purchased New Routemaster buses on their Tayway 73 route in Scotland.

Stagecoach is to test alternative bus technology as two hybrid vehicles from London go into service in Dundee.

The new Routemaster double deck vehicles went into service today (Monday 3 November) on the Tayway 73 route which operates between Dundee and Arbroath.

80 year old London Bus route 137 is due to have New Routemaster Buses

London Bus Route 137 is due to have the New Routemaster buses by Mid to late November according to the London Omnibus Traction Society.

Brief History

The route was the first formed which started on the 3rd October 1934. It first operated between Archway Station and Elmers End Green, via Victoria. Then on the 1st of November 1964,
