* 24 hour routes.
(a) 7 vehicles allocated to route 257 will
be new Euro VI hybrid.
(b) 3 vehicles allocated to route 289 and 8
allocated to route 410 will be new Euro VI diesel.
Contracts will commence on the following
dates:
22nd July 2017: Route 280.
26th August 2017: Routes 50, 130, 194, 250,
255 & 410.
2nd September 2017: Routes 66, 289, 314, 638
& 664.
14th October 2017: Routes 103, 150, 175,
257, 341 & 621.
4th November 2017: Route 370.
What I find
odd is that route 341 will be having new hybrid double decks, whilst route 130
will be using new Euro VI diesel single
deck buses - and route 257 will have a part allocation of Euro VI hybrid
buses.
Regarding London
Buses route 103, Arriva used to operate the route prior to losing their
contract to Stagecoach on 15th October 2005. You can view the
history of route 103 from London Bus Routes history site.
Looking at London
Buses route 175, the route has been operated from the Romford North Street (NS)
since 1954! The route has been with NS Garage for a long time, since the London
bus companies were privatised
in the mid 1990’s. It will be interesting to see which garage route 175 will be
operating from when Arriva London’s contract starts on 14th October
2017! You can also view the history of route 175 on London Bus Routes history.
