London Bus Tender Awards: New Electric Buses For Routes 412 And 685

Transport for London (TfL) has announced that routes 412 and 685 have been retained by Arriva London with new double-deck electric buses. The three-door, two-staircase hybrid New Routemasters will continue to operate on route 415 by Transport UK London (formerly Abellio London).

LBSL intends to enter into new contracts for the following routes with the operators listed below:

New Operator: Metroline

Contract End Date: 28th January 2028

Retained by: Go-Ahead Metrobus

Vehicles: Existing diesel single deck

Current Operator: Go-Ahead Blue Triangle
New Operator: Go-Ahead London General

Retained by: Transport UK West London
PVR: 11
Vehicles: Existing electric double deck
Contract Start Date: 22nd March 2025
Contract End Date: 17th March 2028

New electric vehicles may enter service after the contract start date, dependent on infrastructure and/ or vehicle delivery timescales.

The diesel and hybrid vehicles detailed above will meet Euro VI emissions standards.
