London Bus Tender Awards: School Route 632 to use three-door, two-staircase hybrid New Routemasters

With the start of May 2026, Transport for London (TfL) has announced that the bus operating company Metroline has retained routes 140, 182, 186, and 632.

LBSL intends to enter into new contracts for the following routes with the operators listed below:

Route 140/N140

Retained by: Metroline

Vehicles: Existing hybrid double deck
Contract start date: 5th September 2026
Contract end date: 7th September 2029

Route 182
Retained by: Metroline
PVR: 20
Vehicles: Existing hybrid double deck
Contract start date: 5th September 2026
Contract end date: 7th September 2029

Route 186
Retained by: Metroline
PVR: 18
Vehicles: Existing hybrid double deck
Contract start date: 18th July 2026
Contract end date: 20th July 2029

Route 632
Retained by: Metroline
PVR: 3
Vehicles: Existing New Routemaster
Contract start date: 10th October 2026
Contract end date: 12th October 2029

The vehicles detailed above will meet Euro VI emissions standards.
