London Buses route 233 is now expected to be served with new single-deck electric buses, which are expected to enter service by February 2025 as part of the contract renewal for Go-Ahead London Metrobus.
LBSL intends to enter into new contracts for the following routes with the operators listed below:
Route 49
Retained by: RATP Dev London United
Peak Vehicle Requirement (PVR): 15
Vehicles: Existing electric double deck
Contract start date: 7th September 2024
Contract end date: 3rd September 2027
Route 233
Retained by: Go-Ahead London Metrobus
PVR: 7
Vehicles: New electric single deck
Contract start date: 22nd February 2025
Contract end date: 20th February 2032
New electric vehicles may enter service after the contract start date, dependent on infrastructure and/ or vehicle delivery timescales.
