TfL's Big Red Book Sixth Edition for London Bus Drivers Delayed Till Spring 2025 (Anticipated)

The cover of the first edition of TfL's Big Red Book (from 2008)

Transport for London (TfL) stated in a Freedom of Information request that the sixth edition of the Big Red Book (guidance for London Bus drivers) has been delayed. Therefore, the fifth edition, published in 2019 before the COVID pandemic, remains definitive for now.

Here's the explanation from TfL:

Request ID: FOI-0814-2425
Date published: 27 June 2024

The 6th edition of the Big Red Book has been delayed to ensure that it reflects newly identified priorities and the most up to date guidance for drivers. It is now anticipated this will be published in Spring 2025. It is available on our website using the following link to a previously answered request for the same information:
https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparency/freedom-of-information/foi-request-detail?referenceId=FOI-4298-2324

TfL has also published the previous editions of the Big Red Books on their website.

The reason for posting this on my website is because the Big Red Book guidance for bus drivers enables the disabled and other groups to know the procedures and roles for bus drivers, especially when dealing with wheelchair users.
